See the Bigger Picture with Specsavers Stirling

One of Stirling Highland Games’ long term supporters has just committed to the event for another 5 years. Stirling Highland Games Chieftains Convenor Catriona Cripps visited the city centre store this week to meet up with staff and thank Specsavers Stirling Director Susanne Akil for their continued
support.

“We were delighted to welcome Specsavers Stirling on board as a Community Partner back in 2014” advises Catriona, “so it is hugely gratifying they understand the value that the event brings to the local community and as such has committed to supporting the event until 2025. The Ceangail Board look forward to working with Susanne and her team over this new term.”

Susanne added, “Specsavers Stirling are delighted once again to support Stirling Highland Games and Summer Festival. Our partnership with the games over the past 5 years has strengthened our relationship with our community and an event like this attracts visitors who in turn become customers in Stirling. It is important that Stirling continues to thrive and we must all do what we can to promote this lovely city. The games reinforce our Scottish heritage, old customs and traditions that make Stirling a destination of choice. We will continue to support the games and sponsor the caber tossing event. The day itself is a thoroughly enjoyable experience for everyone. Lots of fun activities, exciting sporting events and with the addition of the food, drink, entertainment and traders village makes it a fabulous day out.”

The Summer Festival attracts over 5000 visitors to the City of Stirling each year to enjoy the Stirling Highland Games, a Food & Drink Festival and a Creative Arts Festival. Local basketball legend Kieron Achara will be welcoming visitors to Stirling on the day as the 2019 Stirling Highland Games Chieftain and the afternoon promises to be packed full of live entertainment with folk icon Dougie MacLean headlining the Summer Sessions in the evening.
